My name is Kara Martorella and I am running for Green Tree Borough Council.

As a lifelong Green Tree resident, I feel a duty to work in the service of my incredible neighbors and beloved community. I am a proud alum of Aiken Elementary and a graduate of Keystone Oaks High School.

Some of my most cherished memories are wrapped up in the warmth of this community, from walking to Green Tree Pool on hot summer days, to endless softball tournaments at Hemlock Field. However, the memory I hold most dear is meeting my husband at the Green Tree Pool the summer I was 13.

We now get the opportunity to raise our three kids in this amazing community. Both my husband and I volunteer our time and talents to coaching youth sports in the district. I coached youth soccer and am currently in my third year coaching our D3 KO Youth Cheerleaders.

I believe public service starts by sincerely listening to residents and leading through a selfless dedication to our community.

I am honored to be part of the Green Tree Unity Campaign. With diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions, the members of The Green Tree Unity Campaign, four Republicans and three Democrats, work together, across party lines, to advocate for a more prosperous and welcoming Green Tree for all.

The Green Tree Unity Campaign shares a commitment to enhance communications between the borough government and borough residents, increase accountability for council actions, and implement industry best practices designed to enable transparency.

We see a thriving Green Tree Borough that uplifts the voices, experiences, and opinions of all community residents.
