Legislative Priorities

  • Strengthen communication and engagement between Borough government and local business owners

    • Create a quarterly business advisory board to ensure local businesses have a structured platform for collaboration and engagement.

    • Task the board with developing recommendations on how to support and promote local businesses, safeguard their investments, and grow a vibrant local economy. The business advisory board will share their input directly with Borough Council.

  • Safeguard the investments of businesses and residents by reviewing Borough policies related to public notice, as well as the Borough’s overall practices for keeping the community informed. Current gaps in communication between the Borough, residents, and businesses often lead to confusion and frustration. Updating these policies will improve community engagement and ensure important discussions happen early in the process, reducing conflict later on.

  • Strengthen the partnership between our local government and businesses. One of my priorities is creating a Local Business Volunteer Program—an initiative that brings businesses and residents together to collaborate on service projects, community events, and neighbor-to-neighbor support.

  • Establish a Business Give-Back Program, encouraging our local businesses to contribute financially toward community projects, resident support initiatives, and improvements that benefit everyone. By combining both volunteer service and financial investment, we can create a lasting impact that keeps Green Tree strong, connected, and thriving for generations to come.

When I look to the future, I see Green Tree with a thriving, engaged business community. Yet recent events show that our current policies and practices are not doing enough to protect the investments of business owners, or those of residents.

If elected, I will:
